Free while in beta.
Everything in Ivy is free while we are in beta. The AI features (identification, answers, scans) have a fair daily allowance per account, so one account cannot run up the bill for everyone. Plants, rooms, tasks and history are never capped.
When Ivy leaves beta there will be two plans. Prices are announced at launch; the free plan stays.

Questions
- Why will there be a paid plan?
- Every identification, answer and scan is a real call to an AI model that costs money. The free allowance covers a normal week with a normal collection. The Collector plan pays for the rest.
- Will free accounts lose plants?
- No. Plants are never capped, on any plan, ever.
- What counts against the allowance?
- Identifying a photo, a chat answer, a scan, a diagnosis. Watering, tasks, rooms, photos and history do not.
- Monthly or yearly?
- Both. Yearly first.
- What happens to my data if I stop paying?
- Nothing. You keep everything on the free plan.
